SARASOTA — Sarasota County officials announced the purchase of a 43-acre property near the Deer Prairie Creek Preserve, just outside North Port's city limits.

The parcel is near Woodland Estates adjacent to Van Camp StreetÌý– where North Port's city limits endÌý–Ìýand Estates Drive, at the North end of Tropicaire. The property is in unincorporated Sarasota County.
